CreatorCast – Learning App UI/UX

A colorful, youth-driven mobile app UI for CreatorCast, a fictional platform offering short video tutorials from creators. Designed with an energetic visual identity inspired by Google Doodles and notebook paper textures.

About the project
CreatorCast is a concept app that connects young users with short-form video tutorials from creators across creative fields. This case study was completed as part of a UI/UX design challenge by Nodelabs.

The approach
The design focuses on Gen-Z aesthetics: bold colors, playful iconography, and UI elements inspired by Google Doodles and dotted notebook paper. Rather than a sterile, minimal feel, the interface leans into visual fullness, clarity, and emotional accessibility.

The interface includes:

  • A scrollable dashboard showcasing live, trending, and pro-only courses

  • A personalized paywall screen that adapts to the selected course context

  • Modular course cards (live, pro, tutor, category)

  • Avatar-based tutor previews and time-tagged media cards

Visual decisions
All UI components were custom-designed within a Material 3 Android frame. Typography and color styles were defined from scratch, then applied consistently across layouts. Cards emphasize recognizability, hierarchy, and immediate call-to-action clarity.
